Iris should begin downloading automatically in a moment. If it doesn't, use the button below.

The latest version, notarized by Apple · Requires macOS Sequoia 15.0 or Tahoe 26.0
Your 14-day free trial is the full app — it starts the first time you launch Iris.

While it downloads

Three steps to your library.

  • 1

    Drag Iris to Applications

Open the disk image and drag Iris into your Applications folder. The first time you launch it, macOS will ask you to confirm you want to open an app downloaded from the internet — that's normal, and Iris is notarized by Apple.

  • 2

    Point it at your photos

Add any folders, external drives, or your Apple Photos library as sources. Iris reads everything in place — nothing is imported, copied, moved, or changed. Your Photos library opens strictly read-only.

  • 3

    Browse while it works

Thumbnails and dates appear within minutes. Face recognition and video transcription keep improving in the background — a few hours on big libraries — and you can explore the whole time.

Want the guided tour? The 5-minute getting-started guide walks through all of it with screenshots. And if anything goes sideways, email hello@irisphotos.app — a real human (me) will get back to you, usually within a business day.

Already sure Iris is for you? Buy a license — $29 and enter it whenever you like. The trial rolls right into the full version; nothing to reinstall.
